Rita Martin is a collective pseudonym used by Robin Hood Flour Mills, Ltd., for the publication of a number of its cookbooks. Among others, Rita Martin was Jeannette Albert, Jacqueline April, Muriel Bellefleur, Cecile Hamel, Irene Lahoud, Frances Little, Frances Marceau, Vivian Merrill, Henriette Roleau, and Dorothy Margaret Shantz. Author Lereine Ballantyne, who also worked for Robin Hood Flours, was notably not included in the list of authors writing as “Rita Martin." (Culinary Landmarks) |
