Notes	Alice Lawson was the daughter of author Jessie Kerr Lawson and sister of Kate Lawson, who wrote as "Katherine Leslie." Alice, a university-trained nurse, wrote ethnographic accounts of the Irish community of Alliston, using the her mother's name, Janet Kerr, as her pseudonym.
